Poor Puppy

Kelsie and I went to the store earlier this week and were when
we came back Kelsie later noticed the dog had a huge hole in
her chest. We took her to the emergency vet and got her stitched
up. She is really luck to be alive because her whatever hurt her
just missed her heart. We couldn't figure out what happened to
her. We searched forever inside and out and didn't find anything
that would have stabbed her. We thought that maybe someone
came in the back yard and stabbed her because we didn't find
anything or any blood. The vet said it was a clean cut and no
debris or dirt so that eliminated a stick or branch. Her hole was
about 1 inch wide and about 4-5 inches deep. Our neighbor said
he noticed some teenage boys in the field next to our backyard
shooting bows and arrows the last couple weeks so I think we
have solved our mystery and they must have retrieved the arrow.
Our poor puppy had to have stitches as well as 6 staples.
